We are a friendly congregation meeting in a very attractive building. We like our services traditional with a modern twist. We have comfortable seating arranged to give a more intimate setting. St Swithun's has a regular and varied programme of social activities.
Come and join us -- you will be most welcome to our services and social events.
There is parking available behind the church - drive up Glen View which is opposite an old Methodist church just before you turn the bend to St Swithun's going up the hill DE56 1PE and keep right.
Join us for our Carol service, on Sunday the 22nd of December, at 3pm, followed by drinks and mince pies.
Our organist, Rob Mosley, will also be entertaining us with a medley of
Christmas songs.

This is the usual pattern: the Parish Diary indicated any changes for special occasions.

Monthly Mid-Week Communion A mid-week service of Holy Communion takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at St Swithun’s. It begins at 9.30 am just before the usual Coffee Break at 10 am. Please do join us if you are able.
Coffee Break
Meets from 10.00 am until midday on the first Wednesday morning of every month and is a friendly time for anyone who wishes to join us. It is an opportunity for everyone to get together for a chat, to make new friends over coffee and cake, peruse the second-hand book stall and also to discover other events that are taking place at St Swithun's.
Messy Church
2nd Saturday of each month (not August) 4 pm - 6 pm
St Swithun's Fellowship
Meets in church from 2.30 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to enjoy fellowship and fun. Each meeting begins with a short time of worship. We have had speakers on a variety of subjects: Holidays, War Graves, Poetry, Guess the Hymn, Life in Iran to name a few. Also we have enjoyed two meals together at The Lion Hotel in Belper. If anyone would like to come and join us you will be made most welcome.
