School Links

St John's C.E. (Controlled) Primary School, Belper

We have close links with the school as it is a Church of England School.

3 members of the Parish are Foundation Governors and have a particular interest in ensuring the spiritual element of education is maintained. They meet every term in addition to full governor meetings.

A prayer meeting is held once a month before the start of school, on the school premises.

The Vicar led (we are now in an interregnum) an online collective worship every week and a face to face one every half term. These follow the schools scheme of Values for Life. 

In addition the school come down to church every half term for a collective worship led by a year group.

In the spring term we hold a special 'Welcome to our Church Family' service for Reception children and their families.

On alternate years in October we help fund an I singPop event where the school and church work together with a team from I sing Pop to sing and present christian based songs in two grand concerts. Click on the logo to find out more about it.
