Proud to be an eco-church

St Peter's is a vibrant, welcoming church that is NOT just for Sunday!
We consider ourselves to be a "7-day church" with lots of activities: groups, events, concerts. We are open every day.
Our worship style is a mix of traditional and modern music, energy and activity, including children's work every week.
You can be assured of a friendly and inclusive welcome in a beautiful church with gardens to wander around.

Churches Count on Nature 2026, June 6-14th
June is the month of Churches Count on Nature which this year runs from June 6-14th. People are encouraged to discover the wildlife in their local churchyard and record the species found. There are recording forms in St Peter’s church, however sightings can be written on any piece of paper and left in a box outside the church door. Details can also be emailed to communitygardenbelper@gmail.com. We would love to have photographs as well.
This year there is an opportunity to meet with others in the churchyard on Wednesday June 10th from 19.00 until 20.30. There will be refreshments and plenty of help with identification. The results are added to inaturalist which helps researchers track biodiversity, monitor climate change, and map species distribution.
